ALREADY, STILL AND YET

YET: Se usa en interrogativas y negativas.

• En interrogativas se coloca al final y significa YA. Se usa con el present perfect.

Have you studied English yet? (¿has estudiado inglés ya?)                       

-       En negativa o para decir que algo todavía no ha ocurrido y se coloca al final de la oración. = TODAVÍA NO, AÚN NO

• I haven‘t studied English yet. (no he estudiado inglés todavía)
• I'm really hungry. I haven't eaten yet.

ALREADY se usa afirmativa o para decir que algo ya ha ocurrido.

Se coloca entre el auxiliar have y el verbo.= YA.

• I have already read your book.
• They have already finished their homework. (Ya han acabado sus          

STILL  se usa con el Present Perfect o con el Present (Simple o Continuous), dependiendo de su significado. Se coloca delante del verbo principal y delante del present perfect.

• Se usa con el Present para decir que una acción o situación sigue ocurriendo. (todavía):  I’m still Reading your book.
• I still have a headache (todavía tengo dolor de cabeza.)
• They still haven't finished their homework. (Todavía no han acabado sus deberes.)

Have you arranged your clothes yet?

-       No, I haven‘t arranged them yet.

-       No, I still haven‘t arranged them.

-       Yes, I have already arranged them.

-       I am still arranging them.
